About The August Infinity
"With its mix of earnest lyrics, solid vocals by Joshua Hawksley, pulsating rhythms by drummer, Ian Pierce, and heavy hitting melodies by Stephen Sannicandro & Chris Moss; they have created a multi dimensional album that has an organic feel with its a simple guitar-bass-drums setup."
-Eat Sleep Breathe Music

In the Spring of 2007 Joshua Hawksley moved to NYC from Kentucky to pursue his dream of being a singer/songwriter. Though unemployed, Hawksley survived by performing in subway stations and open mic lounges. Meanwhile NYC based drummer Ian Pierce and guitarist Stephen Sannicandro had teamed up and began writing together.

By chance while in route to a local bar, Pierce discovered Hawksley performing in the 42nd street (Times Square) subway station. Pierce recognized the raw talent Hawksley displayed and introduced himself immediately. Before long all three musicians were working collectively.

The lineup was finally complete with the addition of bassist Chris Moss after the band saw him performing in a local guitar hero championship.

The August Infinity released their debut album "Voices of a Generation" on October 17th 2009. Everything on the album was written, recorded, mixed and produced solely by the band in the confines of their nyc apartments.

Shortly after the release Sannicandro departed and friends of the band, Frank Grullon and Peter Strzelecki quickly stepped in adding a new dimension to the sound with the upgraded power of two guitars.
